Our Client , A leading Automotive Company in Jordan , is looking for Senior Internal Auditor to be based in Amman – Jordan

Job Summary :

 The Senior Internal Auditor will assist performing audit procedures, reviewing financial and operational records, evaluating internal controls and will work closely with audit manager and assist with audit planning, execution, and reporting and will be responsible for conducting audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and the compliance with regulations. The role involves planning and executing audits, and ensuring that business processes align with organizational goals. The Senior Internal Auditor will also be expected to monitor day to day audit work and contribute to the development of the audit plan

Responsibilities :

1- Audit Assistance:

• Assist in planning and conducting internal audits by gathering and analyzing data.
• Perform audit testing of financial, operational, and compliance areas.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify potential risks or weaknesses.
•  Document audit findings and provide recommendations for improving processes and controls.

2- Risk & Control Evaluation:

• Review business processes and operations to assess compliance with policies and procedures.
• Help identify inefficiencies, areas of risk, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Assist with risk assessments, ensuring that appropriate controls are in place.

3- Documentation & Reporting:

• Prepare working papers and maintain proper documentation to support audit findings and conclusions.
• Assist in the preparation of audit reports for senior management, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Follow up on audit recommendations to track the implementation of corrective actions.

4- Compliance & Policy Adherence:

• Ensure that the company's operations comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Support audits of financial statements, operations, IT systems, and other departments as required

5- Audit Planning & Execution:

• Lead and perform risk-based audits of financial, operational, and IT processes.
• Design and develop audit programs, ensuring a focus on risk areas and controls.
• Review and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare audit reports, presenting findings and recommendations to Audit management.

6- Risk Management & Compliance:

• Assess the organization’s risk management framework and identify potential risks or gaps.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Monitor the status of audit recommendations and follow up on the implementation of corrective actions.

7- Continuous Improvement:

• Recommend improvements in business processes, controls, and procedures to enhance efficiency and mitigate risk.
• Stay updated with industry trends, audit methodologies, and regulations to ensure best practices are followed.

8- Collaboration & Learning:

• Work with audit Manager to understand audit methodologies and industry best practices.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance auditing knowledge and skills.
• Collaborate with other departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of business operations

Requirements :

• Holds a bachelor's degree in accounting or a similar discipline.
• Holds an internal audit certificate(s) from a well-known and accredited body. –
• Proficiency in English speaking, writing and reading. –
• Proficiency in the use of computer skills.-
• Experience in the tasks and responsibilities of this position for a period of not less than 3-5 years. –
• Official working hours: 09:00 – 17:00 from Saturday to Thursday.
