Job Summary
To lead the company's relationships with government entities, regulatory authorities, strategic partners, local communities, and key external stakeholders. The role is responsible for facilitating regulatory compliance, strengthening institutional relationships, supporting corporate initiatives, and representing the company before public and private sector organizations
Key Responsibilities
Government Relations
Develop and maintain strong relationships with ministries, government agencies, municipalities, and regulatory authorities.
Represent the company in meetings with governmental and semi-governmental organizations.
Follow up on permits, approvals, licenses, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting the business.
Coordinate official correspondence with government institutions.
Stakeholder Management
Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies.
Build long-term relationships with strategic partners and industry associations.
Coordinate with local communities and external stakeholders regarding company initiatives.
Manage communication with key customers, investors, consultants, and contractors.
Handle stakeholder issues and ensure timely resolution.
Corporate Representation
Represent the company at official events, conferences, and industry forums.
Organize executive meetings with government officials and strategic partners.
Prepare executive briefing notes and stakeholder reports.
Support executive management in high-level meetings and negotiations.
Strategic Coordination
Coordinate with Legal, Operations, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, and HSE departments on stakeholder-related matters.
Support business development initiatives requiring government engagement.
Assist in securing approvals for new projects and strategic investments.
Participate in corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability initiatives.
Reporting & Compliance
Prepare stakeholder mapping and engagement reports.
Maintain records of government communications and official correspondence.
Monitor compliance with governmental obligations.
Track action items and follow up with internal departments.
What you'll bring
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Political Science, Law, Engineering, International Relations, or a related discipline.
Master's degree is an advantage.
Experience
8–12 years of experience in:
Public Affairs
Corporate Affairs
External Relations
Business Development with government engagement
Experience within one or more of the following sectors is highly preferred:
Energy
Natural Gas
Oil & Gas
Utilities
Infrastructure
Industrial Projects
Public-Private Partnerships (PPP)
Technical Skills
