Our client, A leading company in Jordan (Retail / Electronics), is looking for Financial Manager to be based in Amman – Jordan and reports to CFO

The Financial Manager Will Supervise together with General Management of Financial and Accounting Activities, Performance Analysis, Financial Status, Risk Management, and Identification of Investment Opportunities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic and Operational Tasks:
  • Providing financial information and interpreting it.
  • Monitoring all changes in financial regulations and legislation.
  • Tracking cash flows, contributing to forecasting future trends, analysing changes, and offering advice.
  • Monitoring suitable opportunities to reduce financial costs.
  • Focusing on managing financial accounting systems.
  • Preparing long-term strategic operational plans.
  • Reporting on factors affecting work performance.
  • Studying market trends and analysing competitor businesses.
  • Developing and improving mechanisms applied in financial management, contributing to risk reduction.
  • Communicating with auditors to monitor the annual financial position of the company.
  • Managing the financial budget and providing periodic financial reports.
  • Searching for new sources of financial funding to facilitate debt repayment for the company.

 

  1. Reporting Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statements Reports: Preparation of the final financial statements.
  • Company Financial Status Report: Report on the company's financial position.
  • Board of Directors Meeting Minutes: Recording and reporting on board meetings

Requirements:

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accountant. A Master's degree in Accountant is a plus, as well as professional certifications such as CMA/CPA.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Financial Manager role “Retail”.
  • Languages: Fluent in English and Arabic is essential, both written and spoken

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (Competencies) Required

  • Proficiency in handling various accounting software programs.
  • Ability to manage a team.
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis processes and various forecasting models.
  • Good understanding of financial and banking management, as well as bookkeeping.
  • Proficiency in using software and technical systems.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to innovate appropriate solutions for various problems.
  • Proficiency in speaking English.
  • Leadership, guidance, and motivation skills to inspire the financial team to achieve goals.
  • Ability to analyze financial data, manage cash flows, and accurately interpret financial figures and information.
  • Compliance with applicable financial laws and regulations and the application of international accounting standards.
