Job brief

Will oversee and analyze every day financial activities and provide advice and guidance to upper management on future financial plans and budget requirement.

  Responsibilities

  1. Provide leadership to finance and accounting areas of the organization.
  2. Monitors operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework
    1. for these to be met.
  3. Prepare and analyze accurate monthly financial and management reports, including income statement, balance sheet, budget and variance, projections and forecast and cash flow.
  4. Set-up policy of cash management and the level of risk that can be assumed by the firm at any point in time.
  5. Great organized and detailed in all financial processes
  6. Do reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
  7. Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
  8. Study and analyze on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take
  9. Keep the financial health of the organization.
  10. Assess costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
  11. Improve trends and projections for the firm’s finances.
  12. Operates the preparation of the company’s budget.
  13. Collaborate with auditors to ensure proper monitoring of company finances is maintained.
  14. Required to maintain and update finance procedures manuals and approved by top management.
  15. Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
  16. Manage the assets of an organization through assets recognition and deprecation policy.
  17. Functions to provides business advisory services to the medium sized businesses.
  18. Maintain control of the following areas: general ledger, accounts payable, expense reports,
  19. billing, and payroll.
  20.  Perform a month end closing procedures, including overhead allocations, account reconciliations, and updating schedules.
  21. Coordinate the preparation of financial information in the corporate annual report. • Gather 990 and 990T information for the annual; tax return.
  22. Oversee state registration filing.

Requirements

  • BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
  • Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus
  • Proven and minimum experience as a Financial Manager for 5 years including finance, accounting, audit, and analysis (including gathering, evaluating, presenting, and reporting financial information to management and external stakeholders)
  • Excellent experience in the financial sector and having a past roles such as financial analyst
  • Strong understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
  • Great and proficient user of finance software
  • High interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Able to operates, guide and lead employees to secure proper financial processes are being used
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
  • Nonprofit experience, with experience with fund/grants accounting preferred.
  • Pro-active, hands on manager who will own responsibility for the Finance Department.
