Job summary

The Finance Director is a key executive leadership position responsible for all financial aspects of the company's operations in Saudi Arabia. The role involves shaping and executing financial strategy, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and driving business growth through data-led insights and robust financial controls. The successful candidate must have extensive experience in the FMCG sector, strong leadership skills, and the commercial acumen to support decision-making across all business units. 

Key responsibilities

Financial leadership and strategy

  • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with and support the company's overall business objectives.
  • Provide strategic financial counsel and insights to the CEO and senior management team.
  • Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation processes.
  • Oversee the financial aspects of new business opportunities, investments, and major contracts. 

Financial reporting and analysis

  • Manage and deliver the complete financial calendar, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to the board and executive team.
  • Analyze financial performance, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide insightful commentary on business results.
  • Manage cash flow and optimize working capital through effective control of receivables, payables, and inventory. 

Commercial finance

  • Act as a trusted business partner to the commercial, sales, and marketing teams, providing financial insights for better decision-making.
  • Drive profit and loss (P&L) accountability and support the management team with operational analytics.
  • Oversee trade spending management to ensure promotional campaigns are correctly budgeted, accrued, and evaluated for return on investment (ROI). 

 

Governance, risk, and compliance

  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls and a governance framework to safeguard the company's financial interests and ensure compliance.
  • Oversee all internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with Saudi regulations and international accounting standards (IFRS).
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, and government bodies like Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA). 

Team leadership and development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high-quality delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Cultivate a high-performing finance team culture focused on accountability, innovation, and effective business partnering. 

Systems and process improvement

  • Oversee the implementation and optimization of financial systems, such as enterprise resource planning (ERP), to improve efficiency and reporting.
  • Drive digital transformation projects within the finance function. 

Candidate profile

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) is highly desirable. 

Experience

  • Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the FMCG industry.
  • Proven experience working within the Saudi Arabian (KSA) market, with a strong understanding of local regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in a multinational and/or matrixed organization. 

Skills and abilities

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen, with a hands-on approach.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, IFRS, and robust financial controls.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and strong data analysis skills (e.g., Power BI).
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic (written and spoken) is essential 

Salary Range : 65-75K SAR a month
