Our Client , a leading Company in Jordan,  is looking for F & B ( Food & Beverage ) Laboratory Supervisor    to be based in Amman – Jordan

Tasks & Responsibilities :

  • The Laboratory Supervisor is accountable for managing all aspects of the operation and for ensuring that the Laboratory Director is kept and informed on all aspects of the laboratory activities that have any direct or indirect impact on financial, customer service, quality and H&S.
  • Implement and maintain the quality management system, including HACCP and SQF, to ensure the continuous quality
  • Accountable for the H&S of all personnel, enforcement of all regulations as per the Company Health and Safety Manual, and the immediate reporting of any H&S environmental incidents, accidents or concerns to the Business Manager and H&S Department for action.
  • Ensures that all work follows and in compliance with Quality systems and that quality targets are maintained.
  • Accountable for the delivery of data to achieve Client Satisfaction by maintaining production and specified turnaround targets.
  • Working through his/her supervisors, solves day-to-day production and process problems, providing technical and operational leadership and guidance to all staff.
  • Represent the business to clients, peers and employees and act with professionalism at all times (verbal, email correspondence).
  • Ensures that company policies are followed and understood by all personnel.
  • Monitors and reports weekly highlights, monthly revenue predictions, production status (i.e. # samples processed/personnel, Revenue/personnel, KPIs).
  • Participate in annual management meetings and summarize lab’s operational performance.
  • Reviews all Cap-Ex requisitions prior to submitting to the Laboratory Director.
  • Assists writing Statement of Work (SOW) / Request for Proposals (RFP)’s
  • Participate in business development activities to expand the business operation.
  • Responsible for timesheet approvals and consumables management & timely approval of supplies.
  • Responsible for responding to client and all other requests within company in a quick manner.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in Food Chemistry, Food Science, Business Management, or other relevant field or 5 years of experience as a supervisor with leadership skills
  • 5-8 years of experience in operations / management role having direct reports and financial and operational responsibilities
  • Must have worked in a laboratory facility for greater than 5 years
  • HACCP
  • Knowledge of the Agricultural and Food sectors is required.
  • Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
  • Candidate must be proficient in using various types of computer software (Word, Excel. PowerPoint & Outlook).
  • Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
  • Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others & independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Extended hours and shift work may be required from time to time.
  • Ensures full compliance with the company’s Health & Safety, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies.
