Job title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Dammam, Saudi Arabia

Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Supervises: Finance, Accounting, and Procurement teams

Job summary

The CFO is a senior executive responsible for the complete financial operations of the company. This includes financial strategy, risk management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will provide strategic financial counsel to support the company's sustainable growth and operational excellence within the competitive food manufacturing sector in Saudi Arabia. 

Responsibilities

Strategic financial leadership

  • Develop and implement financial strategies and long-term financial plans that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Provide financial insights and data-driven recommendations to the CEO and executive team on strategic initiatives, including capital expenditures, potential mergers and acquisitions, and new market expansion.
  • Analyze financial performance, market trends, and economic factors to inform strategic decision-making and identify areas for growth or cost reduction. 

Financial management and reporting

  • Oversee all financial functions, including accounting, treasury, payroll, and tax.
  • Direct the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Saudi Arabian laws.
  • Manage the company's cash flow, working capital, and capital structure to ensure financial stability and optimal use of resources.
  • Establish and maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data. 

Budgeting and forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and the development of quarterly financial forecasts.
  • Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic and tactical business plans from a financial perspective.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis to compare actual results against budgets and forecasts, and take corrective measures as needed. 

Risk management and compliance

  • Identify and mitigate key financial risks, including cash flow and liquidity risks.
  • Ensure the company's full compliance with all relevant Saudi Arabian financial regulations, tax laws (such as Zakat and VAT), and international reporting standards.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and government agencies. 

Team leadership and development

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance, accounting, and procurement teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
  • Ensure the finance team is optimally structured and has the necessary resources to meet business needs. 

Stakeholder and relationship management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, investors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.
  • Represent the finance function in discussions with shareholders and lenders.
  • Effectively communicate complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. 

Qualifications

Education: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. An MBA or a professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA is strongly preferred.

Experience: At least 10–15 years of progressive experience in financial management, with a minimum of 5 years at a senior leadership level (CFO, Finance Director).

Industry experience: Proven, extensive experience in the food and beverage or food manufacturing industry is highly desirable.

Location-specific experience: Deep knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards, and the business landscape in Saudi Arabia is essential.

Technical skills: Proficiency with financial management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle), ERP systems, and advanced data analysis tools is required.

Language: Fluency in English is required; fluency in Arabic is a significant advantage.

 Salary Range SAR70-90K
