Our Client, A leading regional Logistics & Transportation Company ( Marine Transport & Freight Forwarding) with three main branches in Amman, Dubai and Baghdad is looking for Analyst /Senior Analyst – Financial Planning & Analysis FPA to be based in Amman and reports to Finance Manager and COO.

 We are looking for finance professional specialized in financial reporting, planning and analysis. The ideal candidate should have 3 to 4 years of professional experience working as an FP&A Analyst. The role requires a hands-on individual who can self-start initiatives and help the company set up its FP&A Function from the ground up.

The role entails collection of data, sorting and making sense of this data in order to produce Budgets, Forecasts, Historical Analysis as well as extensive analysis on performance by setting business KPIs and analyzing actual performance against those KPIs and targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Collecting, storing and sorting historical data
  • Managing databases of financial records
  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for various business units and projects.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for financial analysis.
  • Support the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making.
  • Set up company level and departmental level KPIs with the support of Senior Management
  • Analyze monthly performance against Budgets, Forecasts and KPIs

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or relevant field
  • 3 to 4 years of experience working as Financial Analyst
  • Experience in Budgeting and Financial Modelling is key
  • Professional certification: CPA, CMA, CFA is preferred

 Skills and attributes

  • Ability to self-start initiatives from scratch
  • High MS Excel literacy and ability
  • Able to understand different business models and translate them into spreadsheets
  • Able to work in a high-pressure environment
