Our Client , a leading UAE law firm, having offices in Dubai , Abu Dhabi , Muscat and Amman Covering MENA and provide local, regional and international clients with a full business law services, is looking for Paralegal to be based in Abu Dhabi Branch

Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct a conflict check for all parties related to the matter, open matter file and insert all the needed documents for the matter
  • Maintain a calendar of case and court dates in conjunction with Senior Associate (Team Leader)
  • Photocopy, scanning of all case related papers and saving to appropriate electronic \ physical files for easy retrieval and maintaining hard copy and electronic files.
  • First drafts of correspondence, legal opinions, court documents, and agreements
  • Collating exhibits to pleadings and witness statements and preparing hearing bundles
  • Formatting documents into house style (exceptional Microsoft word skills)
  • Acting as a focal point with the clients and respond to their enquiries as appropriate. In coordination with the senior counsel
  • Prepare the initial requirements for each matter and identify the estimated fees in coordination with Team Leader and Senior Associate.
  • Client onboarding – drafting engagement letter and putting together quotes/budgets in consultation with HOD /Team Leader and sending invoices to clients.
  • Attending client meetings and recording instructions as required (with HOD and independently)
  • Researching case law and legislation as required
  • Making enquiries with government departments for procedures
  • Researching information for articles, presentations and seminars and assisting to put together PowerPoint presentations and handouts
  • Having the full background about the matter
  • Attend the expert meeting with the counsel
  • Updating weekly schedule 
  • Insure case registration on the system and the payment
  • Coordinate with the accounts in relation to the due payments
  • Monitoring the time frame for the case stages Appeal \ Cassation 
  • Submit the needed request to the matter on the online system

 

Work Experience

·         2 – 5 years of experience

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s Degree in law.

Requirements and Main Competences

-          Bilingual (Arabic, English)
