Our Client , A retail medical leader in Qatar that have a wholesale business, as well as, chain of retail outlets, is looking for Inventory Demand Planning Manager (Inventory Controller ) to be based in Doha – Qatar

Purpose :

Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy. Work closely with the management, inventory, supply chain, and sales teams. Identify and convey leading practices to management

Key responsibilities :

Maintains working knowledge of end to end supply chain components including forecasting, inventory management, demand planning, basic department management, master data management, item lifecycle and disposition, seasonal planning, store ordering and operations, supplier planning and order fulfillment
Maintains the Demand Planning excel models as the primary forecasting system tool
Develops multiple metrics to validate forecasting accuracy, as per industry standards and communicates corrective action ensures timely resolution
Interacts with sales, marketing, and customer Service to understand demand forecast drivers
Collects data from internal and external sources on factors known to affect demand
Analyzes sales, stock, and other data statistics
Reviews historical sales trends, and inventory coverages
Models the data to forecast future demand
Obtains information on occurrences that could impact demand like promotions and production delays
Gathers updates on vendors, distributors, sales, and other stakeholders that can affect demand
Develops demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons
Coordinates cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances
Interacts with sales, marketing, and finance to understand demand forecast drivers
Provides input to the supply planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
Leadership of a team- across Planning- Warehousing- & Logistics with responsibility to establish the optimum structure to drive maximum efficiency and customer service
Manage communication between key areas of logistics within division including transportation, warehouse, production, sales and senior management.
Interact with logistics team and ensure a cost effective model for logistics.
Supervise the procurement and logistics teams.
Identify areas of improvements and recommend action plans

Skills /Qualifications / Experience :

Skills: Advanced Excel/MS Office, Financial Modeling, Financial Forecasting, Supply Chain

and Logistics, Inventory Management and Procurement, ERP.

Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Business/Supply Chains Management/Finance/Statistics. Master

Degree or related professional certification such as: CPIM are preferred.

Experience: 8-10 years of experience preferably in the retail domain
