Our Client , a leading Telecom Company in Jordan , is looking for HR Planning & Development Manager  , reporting to Director - HR & Corporate Affairs and running the following areas : Performance Management , Engagement , Learning and Development and OD

This role is responsible for creating and maintaining the alignment between the HR practices and the company direction, in areas related to Organization development, Performance Management, talent and internal Culture

 

Responsibilities :

  1. Lead the planning, development and implementation of the HR department strategy in coordination with other team members
  2. Manage the Performance Management cycles
  3. Manage the Organization Development activities
  4. Provide Career Management and development solutions
  5. Manage the HR KPI’s Reporting and information system
  6. Manage the Learning and Development functions
  7. Provide and implement talent management programs
  8. Monitor and enhance inclusion behaviors in the workplace and take actions accordingly
  9. Act as a custodian for the Internal culture

 

Exposure :

 

Lead the planning, development and implementation of the HR department strategy in coordination with other team members

 

  1. Based on the corporate strategy to design the HR strategy in coordination with the other team members
  2. Cascade the strategy into objectives and action plan for the HR teams
  3. Monitor the strategy implementation
  4. Report the strategy implementation progress

 

Manage the Performance Management cycles

  1. Design and maintain the performance management policy and processes
  2. Reporting and tracking of the performance management processes
  3. Manage the performance evaluation processes (Appraisals, End of probations, special performance evaluations)

 

Manage the Organization Development activities

 

  1. Maintain the organizational structure of the company up to the industry best practices and according to the corporate direction and strategy
  2. Manage any restructuring activity in the company
  3. Headcount and map power planning

 

Provide Career Management and development solutions

  1. Manage the organizational moves and promotions
  2. Design the career paths for the different levels and categories in the organization

 

Manage the HR KPI’s Reporting and information system

 

  1. Provide management with the HR related repots on monthly bases
  2. Maintain the availability of the HR information system

 

Manage the Learning and Development

  1. Provide the corporate staff with specialized learning and development
  2. Design and implement the learning and development plan
  3. Manage any learning activity in the organization including inductions

 

Manage the Talent Management activities

  1. Define the talent  management policy and procedures
  2. Identify the high potentials in the organization
  3. Manage the succession plan design and implementation
  4. Provide retention plans for the high potentials in the organization
  5. Provide specialized development track for the high potentials

 

Monitor and enhance inclusion behaviors in the workplace and take actions accordingly.

  1. Provide trainings/ workshops to employees and management on diversity and inclusion 
  2. Ensure trainings/workshops are equally accessible/attainable by all employees. (ex. an evening training workshops are not accessible for working moms)
  3. Ensure fair performance appraisal process
  4. Ensure providing equal opportunities for promotion and personal development to all employees.

 

Act as a custodian for the Internal culture

  1. Align the employees related policies with the company values
  2. Lead the employees climate assessment programs and design enhancement actions based on the results and company direction
  3. Manage the employees performance awards programs
  4. Manage the employees events

 

Managerial responsibilities

Division Head – People Manager

  1. Provide guidance, instruction and direction to team members
  2. Assign roles and work load distribution, setting objectives
  3. Plan and organize the work of team members
  4. Provide needed development for team members (coordinate with his direct management and HR)
  5. Provide coaching and performance feedback to team members
  6. Manage team’s performance (Performance appraisal is part of this cycle)
  7. Act as a point of reference for team in issues related to company strategy and direction (top down approach)
  8. Assure that all his/her team member are following Umniah policies and procedures and highlight any violation for the code of conduct
  9. Document the division policies and procedures in coordination with the Quality Assurance
  10. Manage the administrational requirements of his/her team (Attendance, Job Description…)
  1. Set the division annual plan in alignment with the department and company direction/strategy                                                                                                                           
  2. Define the division budget
  3. Manage the division performance and assign projects
  4. Retain talents and recommend actions with low performers
  5. Guaranty business continuity in his/her division

 

Requirements :

 

Education:                                                                                                                                

BA in Business Administration or any related field. Master’s Degree is a plus

Knowledge OF:

  • Training and development tools and methods
  • Strategic methodologies
  • Manpower planning and development
  • Telecom industry

Work Experience: a minimum of 8 to 10 years

  • HR Strategy and Design: Organizational Strategy, Organizational Design, Designing and executing surveys, Measurement, Benchmarking and Reporting, Change Management
  • Resource Deployment and Redeployment: Career Management, Career Path Planning, Succession/Promotion/Transfer
  • Performance Management: Human Performance Architectures, Developing / Measuring Performance Indicators, Goal and Target Setting, Competency Modeling, Performance Evaluation Techniques
  • Development and Retention: Assessment of Training Needs, Design of Training Curriculum, Training Delivery Methods, Training Evaluation Methods, Induction / Orientation Methods
  • Excellent command of English language speaking and writing
  • Excellent command of MS office applications
